Vinod Khanna, born in Delhi on 12th March 1951, joined Lionism in 1977 and is a member of Lions Club New Delhi South, District 321-A2. He was District Governor in the year 1992-93 of District 321-A, the largest District of the world with 212 Clubs. Under his leadership 17 new Clubs were organized and it was redistricted into three Sub-Districts (321-A1, 321-A2 & 321-A3). He is a proud recipient of 100% District Governor Award.

 

He made enormous contribution in the progress of MD-321 by serving with great dedication as Multiple Council Chairman (1993-94), Multiple District Chairman Lions Quest and Chairman Extension for which he was recognized by Lions Clubs International  with “Outstanding Achievement  Award”.

 

VK served as Treasurer (2005-06) MDCCI, the National Body of Lions and is currently serving as Vice-Chairman. In the year 1996, he served as Treasurer of memorable All India Lions Convention held in Delhi. He organized very impressive parade of Indian Lions at International Convention in Birmingham and Boston in the capacity of National Chairman of Indian Parade. During 1998-2000, he made notable contribution as Editor of “INDIAN LIONS” - the official publication of MDCCI.

 

VK also served at the International level as Member of Election Committee at International Convention in Denver and Boston. Looking to these outstanding achievements and his active participation in Area Forums and Six International Conventions, he was unanimously endorsed by 1, 92,000 Lions of ISAAME Area for election to the office of International Director (2007-09) at 2007 CHICAGO Convention.

 

100% President in the year 1981-82, had been Zone Chairperson, Deputy District Governor, District PRO and District Cabinet Secretary. He has been recipient of “Senior Master Key Award” for 25 members, 2 Guiding Lion Awards and 5 Club Extension Awards. His leadership qualities were recognized by many International Presidents and he has been honored with SIX International President’s Medals & THREE International Leadership Awards.

 

Lion Vinod is a Melvin Jones Fellow. By profession, he is an Industrialist with interest in manufacturing of Self-Adhesive Papers & Tile Adhesives and is also engaged in Import & Marketing of Building Materials.

 

His wife Lion Renu is also actively involved in Lionism and has served as  Club President and Zone Chairperson. They are blessed with three sons Pulkit, Varun (married to Komal & Ruchika) and Siddhartha.

 

Lion Khanna has demonstrated his commitment to humanity by donating BLOOD 38 times in emergent situations.
